Trimoryn Supplement Facts: The Full Label Panel

Quick answer

The Trimoryn panel gives a serving size of one capsule and thirty servings per container.

Eleven ingredients are named with an amount beside each. Riboflavin at 25 mg shows a 1,470% Daily Value; the other ten carry a dagger, meaning no Daily Value is set.

For notes on each entry, see the ingredients.

Reading it

What a dagger means on the Trimoryn panel

A percent Daily Value tells you how much of a day's reference intake one serving carries. It only exists where a reference intake has been set, which is why it appears once on this panel and not eleven times. Riboflavin has one; mangosteen powder, berberine and a probiotic strain do not, and no amount of research would change that until a reference intake is established.

So the dagger is not a warning and it is not an admission. It is the standard marking for an ingredient with no Daily Value set, and on a panel like this one it is the normal state. What it does mean in practice is that ten of the eleven amounts here cannot be read as a fraction of anything. They can only be compared with the amounts used in published work, which is what the dosage section does for the six entries whose cited work states a dose.

The riboflavin figure is worth a line of its own. At 1,470% of the Daily Value it looks alarming beside a multivitamin, and it is not: {L('ods_ribo', 'the NIH fact sheet')} records that no Tolerable Upper Intake Level has been set for riboflavin because adverse effects from high intakes, including 400 mg a day for three months, have not been reported. The visible consequence of a large riboflavin dose is bright yellow urine.

Other ingredients

What else is in a Trimoryn capsule

The panel's foot names four: Hypromellose (capsule), rice flour, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate. Hypromellose is the capsule shell and it is plant-derived, which is why the bottle carries a vegetarian mark rather than a gelatin one. Rice flour is the filler that brings a small quantity of actives up to a volume a capsule can hold. Silicon dioxide is an anti-caking agent and magnesium stearate is a flow agent, both in the quantities normal for a capsule of this size.

Nothing on the panel names a species for the cinnamon, a strain designation for either probiotic, or a plant part for the mangosteen. Those are the three things this desk would most like the label to add, and the testing and quality page says what the seller does and does not publish about how the capsule is made.

Where the marketing and the panel part company

The composite beside this reads “boost metabolism” and “supports calorie burn and thermogenesis”. Neither phrase is printed on the bottle, and no entry on this panel is a thermogenic ingredient in the sense that word usually carries: there is no caffeine, no capsaicin and no green tea extract here.

The bottle front is narrower and it is the version this desk uses: supports fat metabolism, supports weight management, promotes energy and well-being. Those three lines carry an asterisk on the artwork, pointing at the statement that they have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

Ratios and standardisations

How to read a Trimoryn extract ratio without over-reading it

Three of the eleven entries carry a number that is not a dose, and a fourth carries neither.

Three entries on this panel carry a number that is not a dose. A 4:1 extract means four parts of raw plant were reduced to one part of extract, so 100 mg of a 4:1 prickly pear extract corresponds to about 400 mg of cactus. A 10:1 cinnamon bark extract at 100 mg corresponds to about a gram of bark. Those are useful figures and they are also the limit of what a ratio can tell you: it says nothing about which compounds survived the extraction.

A standardisation is the stronger claim. “Std. 90% Glucomannan” means nine tenths of the konjac entry is the fibre itself, which is how 50 mg becomes a checkable 45 mg. “Std. 95% Curcumin” gives 14.25 mg of curcumin out of 15 mg of turmeric extract, and “Std. 20%” gives 2.4 mg of resveratrol out of 12 mg. Where a panel prints a standardisation it is possible to compare the entry with a published trial; where it prints only a ratio, or nothing at all, it is not.

Mangosteen powder is the one entry with neither. It is whole powder, so there is no ratio to apply and no marker compound named, and the only honest thing to say about its strength is that the label states 100 mg of powder.

The label block

Suggested use, caution and storage, as the Trimoryn label prints them

Suggested use. “As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule daily, preferably 15-30 minutes before a meal.”

Caution and warning. “Do not exceed recommended dose. Not for use for those under the age of 18 or pregnant or nursing mothers. Consult with a physician prior to use especially if you are taking a medication or have a medical condition.”

Storage. “Store this product in a cool, dry place below 30 degrees Celsius, which is 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the safety seal is damaged or missing.”

The distributor block on the label reads Trimoryn, Aurora, CO 80011, +1 (323) 391-7425, [email protected]. That is the manufacturer’s own line and it is reproduced here so a reader can check it against their own bottle. It is not this desk’s returns address: returns for orders placed through this website go to 1441 Broadway, Floor 5, New York, NY 10018, USA after a call to order support on +1 (323) 391-7425, and the bottle-checking page explains why the two are kept apart.

The serving size

What one line at the top of the Trimoryn panel decides

Serving size: 1 capsule. Servings per container: 30. Those two lines sit above everything else on the panel and they decide how every figure under them is read.

A Supplement Facts panel states amounts PER SERVING, not per capsule and not per bottle. Where a serving is two gummies or a scoop, a reader who takes one gummy is getting half of every number printed. Here the serving IS one capsule, so the panel and the dose are the same thing and no arithmetic is needed to read it. That is the simplest arrangement a label can have and it is worth noticing, because it is not the usual one.

The second line does the other useful job. Thirty servings a container, at one a day, is what makes a bottle a month and what makes the cost a day on the pricing page arithmetic rather than a claim. It is also how a buyer can tell at a glance whether a pack ladder adds up: two bottles is sixty capsules, which is exactly the length of the sixty-day guarantee window.

One consequence worth stating. Because the serving is a single capsule, there is no way to take a smaller amount. A panel with a two-capsule serving offers a reader a half dose; this one does not, and the label’s own caution says not to exceed the recommended dose in the other direction either.

Three lists

Why three Trimoryn documents name three different formulas

The vendor’s listing artwork names six ingredients. The seller’s order page names ten. The printed panel names eleven. All three describe the same capsule and none of them is lying.

The artwork is a marketing selection: the six largest and most familiar entries, in circles around a bottle, on an image sized for a phone. The order page is a longer selection written for a reader who has already arrived. The panel is the regulated document and it is the only one with amounts beside every name.

Where they differ, the panel governs, and the practical consequence is worth stating once. A buyer comparing marketing pages would conclude this capsule contains six or ten ingredients; the bottle contains eleven, including two probiotic strains that the artwork leaves out entirely and a riboflavin entry the order page omits.
